Southwest Florida · Storm Damage & Emergency
When a hurricane or severe storm hits, the work splits into two jobs: restoring the roof and documenting the insurance claim. We handle both, and we are still here months after the storm-chasers leave town.
Factory-certified for every material we repair
Local, Before and After the Storm
Southwest Florida has weathered Hurricane Ian, Hurricane Irma, and the named and unnamed storms in between. After a major event, out-of-town crews arrive fast and leave just as fast, often before the paperwork is finished or a follow-up leak appears. We were doing this work before Ian, and we are still doing it now.
Storm damage does not always show up the day the wind stops. Wind-lifted flashing or a hairline tile crack can sit quietly until the next rainy season finds the gap. We document damage thoroughly at the time of the event, which matters if a claim needs to be revisited later.
Since Florida’s AOB ban (SB 2-A), homeowners file and manage their own insurance claims, we cannot file on your behalf. What we do is document the damage and wind-mitigation features completely, so the claim you file is accurate and complete from the start.
What we handle vs. what you handle Body
We assess your roof against these thresholds during the free inspection, before any work is priced or started.
What we repair
Whether you need emergency tarping right now or documentation for an insurance claim, we handle both under one roof.
Active leak or exposed decking after a storm. Our crew dispatches for same-day tarping and leak control.
Photo evidence and wind-mitigation documentation for your insurance claim, from a crew that will still be here after the claim is filed.
We document your loss completely so the claim you file yourself is accurate, without overstepping into policy interpretation.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
Storm-chasing crews follow the weather from state to state, here for a season and gone before a follow-up leak or a denied claim needs attention. We are based in Fort Myers year-round, licensed under CGC1533024 and CCC1334177, and available whether the storm was last week or two years ago.
Our documentation is built to hold up under scrutiny, since we know exactly what a carrier looks for in wind and hail claims. That thoroughness is the difference between a claim that gets approved cleanly and one that gets questioned or delayed.
Who does the work
"A repair is only permanent when you find the actual source. That means someone standing on the roof who knows what they are looking at, not someone reading a checklist."

Contacted Florida Roofing and Gutters to repair the Chimney Stucco and fix 4 pipe jacks that were compromised by squirrels. During heavy rains, I discovered water dripping from the light socket on the ceiling of my master bedroom walk-in closet. They provided a clear, line-item breakdown of the estimate so I knew exactly what I was paying for. I was extremely happy with the work Byron preformed. He did an absolute standout job repairing my chimney and pipe boots. Byron accurately diagnosed the source of the roof leak and provided a permanent, high-quality solution. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to educate me on proper repair needed. The masonry work on the chimney looks incredible and is structurally perfect (even matching the existing paint on the chimney). Furthermore, he did a flawless job installing the new pipe boot flashing, ensuring everything is completely watertight before the next heavy rain. Byron was prompt, professional, and kept the entire work area spotless from start to finish. No. Since Florida's AOB ban, homeowners file and manage their own claims. We document the damage and wind-mitigation features completely so your claim is accurate.
Emergency repair is immediate, same-day tarping to stop active water intrusion. Storm damage repair and documentation happens after, once the site is stabilized and the claim is underway.
Yes. Florida hurricane claims carry a filing deadline, and documenting damage early protects your position even if you file later. We recommend documentation as soon as it is safe to inspect.
A storm-chasing crew may not be reachable if a follow-up leak appears or your claim is questioned months later. We are based in Fort Myers year-round under the same license.
No. We document scope and damage but do not interpret policy language or act as a public adjuster, per Florida contractor licensing limits.
