Roof Installation · Fort Myers, FL
For new construction and full rebuilds in Fort Myers, we install to the current Florida Building Code, including sealed roof decks and enhanced roof-to-wall connections that lock in wind-mitigation credits from day one.
Factory-certified installer of the systems insurers recognize
Built Right From the Deck Up
New construction and full rebuilds in Fort Myers are different work than a re-roof. There is no old system to reference or shortcuts a prior installer took that we can quietly correct. Every decision, from underlayment to fastener pattern, is made against the current Florida Building Code, which requires a sealed deck and enhanced roof-to-wall connections in the wind-borne debris region.
If you are a builder or owner in the Gateway corridor, Babcock Ranch, or another Fort Myers growth area, this is the right starting point. We work directly with builders on new construction timelines and with individual owners rebuilding after a total loss, and the code requirements are the same either way. Owners sometimes ask whether they can pull the roofing permit themselves, and the answer depends on the project.
Because the roof-to-wall connections and sealed-deck requirements are engineered in from the start, the wind-mitigation credits available on a new installation are typically stronger than what a re-roof can achieve on an older structural frame. We document all of it for your insurer.
What A New Installation Can Unlock Body
Is It Time?
If any of these apply, installation is the right service, not a re-roof.
A bare deck ready for a first roof system.
Installation coordinated into your build sequence.
Starting fresh rather than repairing an existing structure.
Only achievable when engineered in from a bare deck.
Where current code compliance matters most.
Not sure which service applies? A free consultation clarifies what your project needs.
What Installation Involves
Installation starts with a sealed deck, a continuous secondary water barrier that keeps the structure dry even before the final roof covering goes on. This layer is one of the biggest factors in a wind-mitigation credit, and it only happens correctly on new construction or a full rebuild.
From there we install roof-to-wall connections engineered to current code, then the underlayment, flashing, and your chosen material. Class 4 impact-rated shingles, tile, and metal are all available with current Florida Product Approval. Every fastener pattern and nailing schedule is documented for the inspector and your insurer.
We coordinate directly with your builder’s schedule so the roof goes on at the right point in the build sequence, and we pass the required Lee County inspections before moving to the next trade. No delays waiting on us to catch up.
Every Installation Includes Body
What We Check
Every Fort Myers installation is planned around the three decisions that determine how the roof performs for the next twenty years
The deck is inspected and repaired before anything goes on top of it. Everything above it depends on what is underneath.
Sealed deck and roof-to-wall connections are engineered in at installation. They cannot be added later without tearing the roof off.
On new construction, we plan our window inside your build sequence so the trades behind us are not held up.
Why Builders and Owners Choose Us
Once a roof is installed, the sealed deck and connections underneath are invisible. Our own factory-certified crews, never subcontractors, install every layer correctly the first time because there is no second chance to fix what gets covered up.
We have installed new roofs across the Gateway corridor and other Fort Myers growth areas, working directly with builders on schedule and with individual owners on total-loss rebuilds. That track record is why builders bring us back project after project.

Gerald UhlhornOutstanding Quality Masonry and Pipe Jack Repair! Contacted Florida Roofing and Gutters to repair the Chimney Stucco and fix 4 pipe jacks that were compromised by squirrels. During heavy rains, I discovered water dripping from the light socket on the ceiling of my master bedroom walk-in closet. They provided a clear, line-item breakdown of the estimate so I knew exactly what I was paying for. I was extremely happy with the work Byron preformed. He did an absolute standout job repairing my chimney and pipe boots. Byron accurately diagnosed the source of the roof leak and provided a permanent, high-quality solution. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to educate me on proper repair needed. The masonry work on the chimney looks incredible and is structurally perfect (even matching the existing paint on the chimney). Furthermore, he did a flawless job installing the new pipe boot flashing, ensuring everything is completely watertight before the next heavy rain. Byron was prompt, professional, and kept the entire work area spotless from start to finish. I highly recommend Florida Roofing and Gutters for any chimney or roofing restoration needs!"Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
